Star Trek: The new movie--Go See It!(no spoiler)

I was fortunate enough to get to see a special screening of this courtesy of my frined, Zaphod.

 

Awesome.  They got it right!

 

I 'm not going to post a spoiler here... I  know which of my friends saw it and will talk with them later.

 

But go see it, Give them your money. They are safe going ahead with the sequel.

I had reservations about this.  Reboots are a dangerous thing., and we have never had anyone else play the iconic characters in this franchise.  Zachary Quinto as Spock was perfect casting. Chris Pine definitely gets Kirk right.

Everything is explained nicely for those of us who remember the established franchise,but  it won't confuse those who aren't long time Trek Fans.

It is Star Trek the way its supposed to be.  Yay!

[this is good] The girlfriend of one of my coworkers who saw the film last night - had never seen any Trek film or any episode of any Trek series.  And she thought the film was great too.  Which is another feather in the movie's cap.
